�Banquet Facility Policies�

Additional Expenses

            Additional Cleaning charge of $100.00 will apply if the following occurs:
* Confetti used in decorating if not cleaned up by decorators
* Candle Wax that drips on Table Linens and/or Carpet.
* Extensive damage to Table Linen, such as tears, cuts, or holes from burns, etc.
* A guest overindulges in alcohol and becomes sick and the staff must clean up after them.

Bar Service

Bartenders are furnished at no charge. Host Bars are subject to 17% gratuity. There are many options to accommodate your Beverage Needs; you will discuss this with the Banquet Manager on your initial meeting. If you provide Keg Beer for your guest, the initial Keg is generally tapped just prior to guest arrival. If additional Kegs are tapped, the Banquet Manager or Bartender on duty will consult with the Bride or Groom and receive permission to tap additional Kegs. The Bride or Groom will have to prove written permission was given to tap additional kegs. Last Call will be given at 11:45p.m., no exceptions.

Different options of Bar Service to think about include: Cash Bar, Host Bar, Drink Tickets, Champagne Toast, Wine Table, Complimentary Soft Drinks, Punch, Keg Beer...etc.

State Law prohibits the Marshall Golf Club from serving alcohol to minors. Anyone under the age of 21 consuming alcohol or anyone supplying alcohol to minors will be required to leave the premises. Our liquor license requires all bartenders to request proper identification (photo ID with birth date) and they will refuse alcoholic beverage service if the person cannot produce proper identification or is under age. We reserve the right to refuse alcoholic beverage service to any person who, in our judgment, appears intoxicated.

Minnesota State Law prohibits liquor to be brought on the premises for any event.

Beverage Service

Punch�we offer a Red Fruit Punch or a White Grape Punch. We provide a Punch Bowl with ladle, glasses, and white beverage napkins with this service. Punch is made in a Five gallon amount which will serve approximately 200 people for $50.00.

Unlimited Soft Drinks� we offer Unlimited Soft Drinks for guest which can be served at the Bar. This service will be provided throughout the entire function. Unlimited Soft Drinks includes Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, 7-up, and Cherry Pepsi. Unlimited Soft Drinks for fewer than 150 people is $125.00. For greater than 150 people is $185.00.

Cancellations

All Cancellations must be made in writing. Your advance deposit will be refunded if you cancel before the date indicated on the Booking Agreement. Usually, but not always, 120 days or more prior to your function date or nine months prior to Wedding Reception dates.  You forfeit your deposit after the date indicated on the reverse side, unless (1) you re-book the function within a six week time frame or (2) another person books the room and date with a comparable function. In addition, a cancellation fee may be charged to you and payable upon demand in the event of cancellation of all or part of your function, after acceptance of this booking agreement. The fee will be based on banquet pricing and on the Booking agreement at the time of notification of cancellation. These amounts are due as liquidated damages and not as a penalty. The following schedule will apply:

Decorating & Linens

We will work with you to make your Wedding Reception Beautiful. You can hire a decorator or have some family and friends decorate on your own, whichever you choose. We will be here to offer advice and a helping hand. We do ask that you refrain from affixing items to or on the walls, floor or ceiling with nails, staples or tape. We do have ceiling hooks that can be very helpful with the hanging of decorations. The Main Entry Hallway can be decorated for a �Grand Entrance to your Reception.� All tables will have white table linens and white linen napkins. The Head Table, Gift Table, Buffet Table, Punch Table and Guest Book Tables will be skirted with white linen skirting. We ask that you refrain from using taper candles because of wax drippings that can cause damages to linens. We ask that any candles in use be properly and securely placed on tables to prevent excessive damages to linens. If using Candles, you must guard against Candle wax on the Table Linens. Charges for repairs to damages, professional cleaning or replacements of linens will be applied to you. The use of Sparklers is prohibited inside and outside the facility.  You may begin decorating by 8:00 a.m. the day of the Event, prior arrangements must be made for earlier times. If you need to Decorate the day prior to the Event there is an additional Facility Fee of $100.00 to guarantee the prior day. Decorations and other personal items must be removed from the premises one hour from the conclusion of the event unless arrangements have been made with management prior to the event. The Marshall Golf Club does not accept responsibility for the damage or loss of any merchandise/articles brought onto the premises prior to, during and following the function.

Entertainment

Arrangements for Entertainment for your reception/dance is your responsibility. A set-up time for Entertainment must be established with MGC management prior to function. If your entertainment requires electricity more than a normal household outlet (such as a 220), there will be an additional fee of $50.00. Midnight (12:00 a.m.) is the limit for playing time unless arrangements have been made with management prior to your event. An additional hour of entertainment will have a service charge of $100.00. Entertainment has one hour prior to the Social Events conclusion to clean up and exit the premises.

Facility Rental Fee

Facility Rental Fee is $750.00 ($650.00 for Members). Required payment is due in full nine months prior to date of Event. The Rental Fee includes the use of the Full Banquet Room, the Main Entrance Hallway, the Restroom facilities, the Outside Deck connected to Banquet Room, the Banquet Bar, and the Covered Front Porch at the Front Entry. The Marshall Golf Club Banquet Facility is Smoke-Free. Smoking is only allowed outside on the Banquet Deck or Front Porch. 

Liability

Loss or damage to decorations or other property brought onto the premises will be the sole responsibility of the renting party. The Marshall Golf Club will assume no responsibility for the conduct of all persons in attendance and for any damages incurred upon the MGC or its employees by individuals associated with your Reception. The Marshall Golf Club does not accept responsibility for the damage or loss of any merchandise/articles brought onto the premises prior to, during and following the function. Further, the event host is liable for any damages to the Marshall Golf Club during the event. Children must be supervised at all times. No one may exit Outside Banquet Deck located next to the number ten tee box, except in an Emergency. Keep in mind; this is a Golf Course where play can go up to 9:30p.m. in the spring and summer. Also, we are located on a River that runs along the outer edge of the parking lot, in the spring it can become deep and swift flowing. Guests should remain in the Banquet facility, any guest found on golf course will be asked to remain with attending party, any one unable to follow these requests will be asked to exit the premises. State Law prohibits the Marshall Golf Club from serving alcohol to minors.  Anyone under the age of 21 consuming alcohol or anyone supplying alcohol to minors will be required to leave the premises. Maximum Amount of Guest & Room Settings

Maximum number of guests is 350. This count limits the seating arrangement, the setting up for the entertainment, the length of time for Dinner, and the length of time between the end of the meal and the start of the Dance. We can further discuss the room setting at the time of our initial meeting and during a tour of the facility. 

Menu

We offer a diverse menu that can be tailored to meet your Reception needs. All food and beverage consumed in the function rooms must be purchased through the Marshall Golf Club, with the exception of baked goods for use at Social Events, such as Wedding Cakes, Anniversary Cakes, and Birthday Cakes. No food or beverage purchased through the Marshall Golf Club can be taken off the premises under any circumstances due to licenses and insurance restrictions. For the baked goods brought to the MGC it is required that the baked good must be cut and served by the Marshall Golf Club and a plating fee will apply.

If you wish, you can sample a menu item to help in your decision for your main entr�e. We can discuss this at our initial meeting. All menu prices will be guaranteed 90 days prior to the date of function. To allow us to properly prepare and order for your event, menu selections are required 30 days prior to the event. For plated meals with more than one entr�e, it is required that the event host provides place cards to designate what each guest has ordered.

Confirmed (guaranteed) counts must be received by 10:00 a.m. 72 hours or 3 business days prior to the function date. If a guarantee is not received, we will assume the guarantee to be the anticipated number given to us as indicated on the Booking Agreement, or the total number served, whichever is greater. We will prepare seating and food preparation for up to 10% over your guarantee, this is to accommodate you in the event more guests arrive than anticipated. Again, you will be charged for the number given in the confirmed count, unless the number of guests served is greater. A 6.5% Sales Tax will be added to all Food and a 17% Gratuity will be added to all Food and Beverages.  When setting the times for your Wedding and Reception, give careful thought to the time set for Dinner. Our Kitchen staff must be on a schedule to ensure to quality of the food we serve to you and your guest. Please note: There is a charge of $.50 per plate for every fifteen minutes Dinner is delayed.

Payment

All charges are to be paid in full upon the conclusion of the function by approved credit card (Master Card or Visa), cash, or check. A deposit is required to reserve the Banquet Room for your function. Direct billing can be arranged with prior approval from management. Direct billing is not applicable to Social Events such as Weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, or reunions. Social Events will be required to pay in advance, 50% of the anticipated revenue of the booked function or as determined by management. Payments must be made in full with in one week from the conclusion of the booked Social Event. 

A deposit of the Room Rental Fee is required to reserve Banquet/Meeting rooms and is considered non refundable. This deposit is susceptible to the Cancellation Policy listed below. A credit card must be used for this deposit and will be needed to reserve the Marshall Golf Club for Social Events. The Marshall Golf Club will keep the same credit card number to charge any remaining balance owed following the Social Event. In case a credit is owed from the Marshall Golf Club that same credit card will be credited. A separate Damage deposit maybe required as determined by management following the function and if this payment is not received in full one week to the conclusion of the function this credit card will be used to complete the payment of the remaining balance. 

Wedding Cake Cutting

It is required that Special Occasion Cakes must be cut and served by the Marshall Golf Club. By doing this the Marshall Golf Club can account for all guest receiving served cake during the function. There is a Plating fee of $.40 per person (white styrofoam cake plates) or $.60 per person (white china/glass cake plates). This fee accounts for the cutting, serving, and cleaning up of Special Occasion Cakes brought to the Marshall Golf Club.
